Irish Ferries is the leading ferry company of the Republic of Ireland. It operates ferry crossings between France , UK and Ireland. It has three lines between these 3 countries.

Types of vehicles accepted on Irish Ferries ships

It is possible to board Ferries with a car, camper van, motorbike, trike, minibus, van, bicycle or as a pedestrian.

It is also possible to take on board a towed item (trailer, caravan, etc.) and other equipment (roof box, bicycle rack, etc.) provided they are declared at the time of booking.

Classic cabins

The ferry company offer cabins with up to 4 berths, with or without sea view and equipped with bathroom and television.

Suites

The company offer a range of suites from 2 to x berths, with single or double beds and en-suite facilities.

Cabins for PRMs

Each Ferries ship has cabins or seating adapted for people with reduced mobility. Wheelchair accessible sanitary facilities are also available.

Seats

For a more economical crossing, it is possible to book a reclining seat in a private air-conditioned lounge. Single-sex showers and toilets are available, and blankets and pillows are available from on-board staff.

The company offers free Wi-Fi access on its ships for a period of 20 minutes. For longer periods, it is possible to subscribe to a paying package directly from the ship’s Wifi.

Travelling with children with Irish Ferries

The ships have play areas and facilities for children.

On the France – Ireland and Irish Sea crossings, it is also possible to hire a cot.

Travelling with pets with Irish Ferries

Pets are allowed on board Ferries at no extra charge. They must be left in the vehicle or placed in the kennels. You will be able to visit and walk your pet during the crossing.

Modification and cancellation of tickets with Irish Ferries

If you have booked your crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.

To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.

If you have made your booking directly on the ferry company website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.

Is it possible to travel without facilities on a Irish Ferries crossing?

It is not possible to travel on Irish Ferries without booking accommodation. You must reserve a seat or cabin.
