Types of vehicles accepted on Scandlines

It is possible to board ferries with a car, motorbike, van or camper van. It is also possible to embark with a towed vehicle (trailer or caravan) provided this is declared at the time of booking.

Restaurants and bars

The ferry company are equipped with several catering facilities, including à la carte restaurants, buffets, cafeterias and bars, allowing passengers to enjoy a meal or relax with a drink at any time during the crossing.

Shops

The ferries have shops on board offering a wide range of perfumes, cosmetics, etc. as well as sweets, beers, wines and spirits at very attractive prices. Travellers will also find everything they need for a pleasant journey.

Internet on board

The ferry company provides free Wi-Fi access on its ferries for its longest crossings, allowing passengers to enjoy Internet access throughout the journey.

Travelling with pets with Scandlines

It is possible to board the ferries with a pet. Pets are allowed in all areas not covered by carpets and must remain more than two metres away from buffets. They must also be kept on a lead or placed in their carrier.

How to pay my ferry crossing

On smartferry.com, it is possible to pay for your ferry crossing by credit card, holiday voucher, or in 4 instalments with our partner Floa Bank.

Booking modification and cancellation

If you have booked your crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.

To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.

If you have made your booking directly on Scandlines website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.

Is it possible to travel without facilities on a crossing?

It is not possible to book a seat or cabin on Scandlines ferries, as crossings are fast. Passengers are free to choose one of the many seats on board.
