Ports served in Spain :

Types of vehicules accepted on GNV ferries

The ships offer the possibility to embark with a car, a van, a caravan, a vehicle with trailer, a motorbike, or as a pedestrian.

If the vehicle has additional equipment (bicycle rack, roof box, etc.) this must be taken into account in the vehicle measurements at the time of booking.

Exclusive cabins

GNV ships are equipped with exclusive cabins, either inside or with a sea view, for up to 4 people, with private bathroom facilities with toilet, shower and hairdryer.

Suites

GNV also offers different types of suites:

  • the matrimonial suite, which can accommodate two people and is equipped with a double bed
  • the family suite for 3 people with a double bed and a sofa bed
  • the presidential suite with a day area separated from the night area, a large dressing room, a bathroom with hydromassage and a balcony with table, chairs and deckchair.

All suites are also equipped with large windows, television, telephone and mini-bar.

Shared cabins

When you make your reservation, it will be possible to book a bed in a non-mixed shared cabin. In this case, the cabin will not be exclusive and you will share it with other passengers of the same sex.

Cabins for PRMs

On each GNV vessel, cabins adapted for people with reduced mobility (PRM) are available. These cabins facilitate the use of a wheelchair and include an adapted bathroom.

Cabins for animals

GNV offers on some of its ships pet friendly cabins which allow pets to stay with their owners during the crossing.

These cabins are equipped with easy to clean linoleum floors and are sanitized daily.

Seats

Instead of cabins, GNV offers the possibility of booking Pullman seats in a lounge that includes air conditioning, acces to dedicated services and entertainment areas.

Restaurants and bars

GNV offers a wide range of catering options on board its ships, including à la carte restaurants, self-service restaurants and pizzerias. The dishes offered vary according to the voyages made to adapt to local culinary specialities.

On the Moroccan and Tunisian routes, we also offers Halal dishes.

Shops

On board GNV ships, shops are available for the purchase of books, newspapers, clothes, cigarettes, toys and children’s items etc.

On non-EU routes it is also possible to buy alcohol, tobacco and perfume at low prices in the Duty Free shops.

Internet on board

The ships are equipped with a WIFI service accessible from the common areas for a fee. You can also subscribe to a WIFI package which will allow you to have internet access throughout the ship.

Entertainment

Some ferries offer video games and slot machines.

Onboard aperitifs are also available, allowing passengers to enjoy homemade cocktails and snacks.

Prayer room

GNV provides its passengers on the Tunisia and Morocco routes with Islamic prayer rooms equipped with carpets and Korans.

Other ships have chapels dedicated to Catholic Christian denominations.

Traveling with children with GNV

Children’s prices

GNV crossings are free for children up to 2 years old on the Morocco and Tunisia routes and up to 4 years old on the other routes.

Special fares are also available for children:

  • from 2 to 15 years old for the Tunisia lines
  • from 2 to 12 years old on the Morocco routes
  • from 4 to 12 years old on other routes

Facilities for children

On some ferries, children’s entertainment areas are provided, including TVs with cartoons, drawing tables and a variety of games.

In addition, the company provides baby chairs, bottle warmers, changing tables, cots and bed rails on request.

The various restaurants on board also offer child-friendly catering.

Traveling with pets with GNV

It is possible to travel with a pet on the ferries provided that this is mentioned when booking the ticket.

Pets are allowed to stay with their owners in the cabins and dedicated areas but are not allowed in the common rooms and at the seating level.

A dedicated pet walk area is also available on the outside deck.

Modification and cancellation of tickets with GNV

If you have booked your crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.

To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.

If you have made your booking directly on GNV website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.

Is it possible to travel without facilities on a GNV crossing?

Reservation of a cabin or seat is mandatory for travel on GNV ships, except in high season when Grandi Navi Veloci can exceptionally offer deck tickets.
