The Eckerö Line fleet

Eckerö has two ships with a capacity of up to 2,200 passengers and 665 vehicles.

The Eckerö fleet is made up of the following ferries:

  • MS Finlandia
  • MS Finbo Cargo

Types of vehicles accepted on Eckerö Line

It is possible to board Eckerö ferries with a car, van, motorbike, camper van or as a pedestrian (except on MS Finbo Cargo).

The vehicle may also be equipped with a towed element (trailer, caravan or sidecar) provided this is declared at the time of booking.

Facilities on Eckerö Line ferries

Standard cabins

Eckerö offers exclusive cabins with between 2 and 4 berths and private sanitary facilities with shower and toilet. As an option, the cabin can include a porthole with a sea view.

Shared cabins

For a more economical option, Eckerö offers the possibility of reserving a bed in a single-occupancy shared cabin. These cabins are identical to the standard cabins and are shared with other travellers of the same gender.

Cabins for PRMs

All Eckerö ferries have cabins that are easily accessible for people with reduced mobility (PRM). These cabins are spacious enough to accommodate a wheelchair and have adapted private sanitary facilities.

Cabins for animals

Eckerö offers pet-friendly cabins which are identical to standard cabins but with a linoleum floor.

Services on Eckerö Line ferries

Restaurants and bars

Eckerö Line ferries have restaurants serving a variety of Finnish dishes. Buffets, bistro-cafés and bars are always open to allow passengers to eat and relax with a drink during the crossing.

Shops

There are shops on board both Eckerö Line ferries. Passengers can find clothes, accessories, sweets, drinks, perfumes, cosmetics and much more at reduced prices.

Travelling with children with Eckerö Line

On Eckerö ferries, play areas are available for children to have fun during the crossing. In addition, extra activities are planned during the school holidays.

Travelling with pets with Eckerö Line

Pets are accepted on Eckerö ferries at no extra charge, provided they are declared at the time of booking.

Pets are accepted in the common areas of the ship, with the exception of the restaurant areas, and must be kept on a lead or placed in their carrier.

Modification and cancellation of tickets with Eckerö

If you have booked your Eckerö crossing on smartferry.com or by telephone with one of our agents, it is possible for us to modify or cancel it according to the conditions applicable to your ticket.

To do this, please contact our customer service department by telephone on 04.65.84.14.13.

If you have made your booking directly on Eckerö Line website or via another platform than smartferry.com, we will not be able to make any changes or cancellations.

Is it possible to travel without facilities on a Eckerö crossing?

It is perfectly possible to travel without a cabin on Eckerö ferries. Passengers without cabins will be able to spend the crossing in the ship’s communal areas.
